Hosts of the conference:

World-CWS is a place where scientists, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners from across the world build collaborative research networks, share practical knowledge, and jointly publish academic papers to find the best solution to the empowerment of the next generations of women and girls. Scholars’ interactions and collaborations are further enhanced during annual meetings of the world conferences of World-CWS and future regional conference meetings.

The Central University of Odisha, established under the Central Universities Act 2009 in March 2009, endeavors to promote quality education for all and ‘disseminate inclusive education’ to reach the unreached. It advocates for the symbiosis of the indigenous and the global scene, creating a niche of its own to promote the principles of national unity and integrity, social justice, secularism, democratic values, cultural pluralism, international understanding, and scientific approach to society’s problems.

Nodal Department

The Department of Sociology is one of the five departments that started with the inception of the Central University of Orissa in 2009. Initially, it offered PG in Sociology, and over the years has also introduced Research Program in Sociology.
